Ten visions of the ochre city

A black cat sits in the golden light while the Koutoubia rises at the horizon under a cobalt sky. The animal and the minaret share the frame without hierarchy — both simply present in the afternoon heat.

Orange and cobalt volumes converge in perspective toward the Koutoubia, the minaret held at their exact vanishing point. Architecture frames the sacred monument — geometry as devotion.

A black cat crosses the ochre alley mid-stride, its motion the only disruption in an otherwise static composition of orange walls and a distant blue door. Marrakech at the scale of a cat.

A reflecting pool doubles the Moorish arches, orange and cobalt stacked in perfect bilateral symmetry. Palms and potted cacti interrupt the geometry — the garden as counterpoint to the courtyard's rigor.

Successive arches in orange and cobalt recede toward a fountain at the patio's centre, columnar cacti in cobalt jars standing guard on either side. The scene is precisely staged — nature arranged to match the architecture.

A monumental cobalt wall dominates the composition while the pool below mirrors it in pale replica. Palms and cacti break the wall's authority — the garden negotiating with the architecture for light.

A water channel runs between an orange wall and a blue volume, drawing a line through the patio that links warmth to coolness. Palms and a distant arch close the scene — the riad as a world held within walls.

The Koutoubia silhouette stands against an orange and blue sky while the terracotta rooftops cool in the falling light. Marrakech from above, the city losing its edges as the day dissolves.

A black cat sits with its back to the camera, facing the dunes and distant Atlas peaks through an orange patio frame. The animal surveys the landscape with total composure — sentinel at the edge of the desert.

A terracotta and cobalt passage draws perspective lines toward the Atlas, the mountains visible at the vanishing point. The frame is precise, the destination immense — architecture pointing beyond itself.
